Tropic Lightning-a very nice stallion

Tropic Lightning, running in the pasture last summer. He was a SOLID RACEHORSE. Ran 7 times as a two year old and was on the board in all his starts. Some of his two year old credits would be beating Real Quiet (next years Kentucky Derby winner) and winning a $100K Stake in Kentucky. In his lifetime, he won 6 races on 6 different surfaces at 6 different tracks. Dirt, turf, muddy, fast, heavy, and sloppy surfaces.

He is by Ogygian-the Champion two year of his year and successful Sire in Japan, and out of a Cure The Blues mare. Cure the Blues is a nice sourse of soundness.
You can say what you like, but I like a horse who has the "try" -presence of mind -dispite circumstances to be a "good" horse.. Tropic had a foal injury at 3 months of age where he was blinded in his right eye. His record would not reflect his defect as he "won on the lead -came up the rail, went around, went thru, on all types of surfaces. STONE COLD RUNNER.
Watch this summer-
HE WILL GET A COUPLE STAKES WINNERS from very small crops-THIS YEAR.
What a nice horse and my friend.

I think I'd like a nice race horse
by this fine stallion--that is such
a stunning photo of him, Dean! I didn't realize how much heart and courage Tropic had in his races with
only one eye. The other thing is that
he stamps his progeny with his gorgeous looks! Neat article. That
soundness factor is a huge one too!
